I’m working on the Bluebird Zee (almost done!) and the Volcanic Asterope.  You’ve seen them before.

I spun up my first silk hankie, corespun on crochet cotton.  I’m not thrilled, but know practice will help.

I talk about my bulbs, roses, and birds in other things.  Spring is coming!  Yay!

Current KAL: Valentine’s Day! By February 27th, post a pic in the ravelry group, or email it to me at mandikat AT weareyarn DOT com or post it in the comments thread for episode 20 for a chance to win a pattern of your choice! Extra points if it’s stash yarn, so make sure to tell me if it is.

March is National Crochet Month. Post a comment in the thread for this episode, or in the comments thread here, or email me at mandikat AT weareyarn DOT com telling me why in the world you haven’t learned how to crochet yet and I’ll enter you to win a learn to crochet kit to be sent out at the end of this month so you can celebrate Nat’l Crochet Month with me!

I have worked on this week….
a crocheted companion cube (pattern (non-ravelry) here)
my Cerisara (pattern (non-ravelry) here)
my Volcanic Asterope (pattern here, ravelry only)
the Bluebird-Zee (pattern here, non ravelry)

I spun up….
some more corespun out of little samples, various dyers.
some of the Tempted SW BFL green goodness for my socks. Only 1/3 of the fiber left to go!

I am planning…
to crochet in March. And pretty much only crochet. Thinking about resurrecting an afghan that I have worked on for the last two Nat’l Crochet Months, but might make a lace-weight tee instead. Or both?
If not only crochet, I am going to be starting a shawl with some super-bright pink Classic Elite Cotton Bamboo. Because spring cannot come soon enough and bright colors will make it come faster, right?
